This adapter's function is for Allstar PL lens to use on EF mount camera. It is made of one piece of stainless steel, therefore it is very stable and accurate.
It has electric chip in the back, so focusing light can be activated when you use it on Canon still camera.

Please note : this adapter is designed for Allstar PL lens.
We won't have any guarantee if you use it on other lenses.

Allstar PL to EF adapter is available
It is $380 USD.

Make this for reg pl and I would buy it in a heart beat. and with that, if you made adapters for ef lenses that would work in a pl mount, i would snag a whole set for my canon CNE lenses.

[COLOR=#FFFFFF !important]There is no way to adapt regular PL to EF or the oposite due to flange distance. Allstar has it's own system Their PL's are different from standards.

It is definitely possible to adapt PL lenses to EF Mount, it's been done for years, here's an inexpensive adapter:

EF lenses cannot be put on PL mount due to flange to focal plane distance. And even then, sometimes it is possible (usually with long telephoto lenses).

I don't know what is different about the Allstar PL mount, but if it works on a regular PL mount camera I would think their adapter should work with other PL lenses?

I think you are talking about the Allstar A-mount. However, Allstar PL mount should work fine as any other PL mounted lenses.
Allstar probably doesn't want to guarantee the adapter to work with other lenses since some lenses have more protrude rear element obstructing the mounting on the EF mount.

I'm sure this could work with other PL mount lenses, but it's hard to know exactly which ones, and I'm sure ALLSTAR do not want to waste their time testing every single PL lens out there or holding responsibility for ones that don't work.

Look at it as a swappable EF mount for your AllStar PL lenses and you will do fine.

I have used EF to PL adapters in the past and there's certainly concern on those fitting with these types of adapters. For those who utilize Canon bodies for instance the mirror or sensor housing becomes an issue. A few manufacturers provide lists of compatible lenses which is nice.
