Oh if you only knew what jpeg 2000 in dcp packages can actually do to footage.

One thing I can say I've done vfx shots on viper, f35, d-21 and red. The previous 3 are easier to manipulate and have a lot less bit rot. Very much looking forward to some MX shows. But from a heavy manipulation POV redcode has issues that the others do not.

This coming from a man who was about to kill someone the other day when he had to pull a key from blue screen 5d footage.

One question, and I'm not trying to draw any arguments nor defensive statements but, I've never had the oportunity to do VFX nor view comparrison tests but what issues does redcode have for you? Does redcode 42 obviate these at all? I ask in the interest of best knowing the performance and limitations of gear and how to get the best out of a platform.
