  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Airport Security & REDMAG's

Never had an issue, flown dozens of times. Cards will be fine, security doesn't care about them.

None. I've gone through airport security dozens of times with redmags.

Just watch out for those Lithium Ion batteries. You can get a hefty fine, if you break the restrictions.

Last time I checked a couple of airlines:
Max. 160WH
2 per person
Use electric tape on contacts
Have to be carried as carry-on (none as check in)

considering the 100k battery fine is larger then my camera package price wise, def be aware of the battery issue

Works fine. Although you do get weird looks with all the camera gear sometimes :)

exactly. never had any problems traveling (luckily), even in other countries. course, i always get flagged for everything anyways since i look so suspicious.

As others have correctly said, no problems at all in running the REDMAGS through airport x-rays.

BTW - you're very smart to carry on the Epic. I've been doing that with all my cameras and lenses for over three decades now. There are a myriad of potential problems from putting cameras and lenses in checked baggage.

They're 1.8" SSD's. People put their laptops through x-ray machines a 100,000 times a day.
