  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Adobe Introduces "RubbaDub"

Adobe makes good solutions. Always look forward to working with Adobe.

Wow, awesome... I'm sure, like Rotobrush, that it'll have its limitations. But under optimal conditions, it looks pretty effective.

if it can even save you time and work for just a handful of shots on a show, it's totally worth it. cause that's additional time saved on your ADR session. money back in your pocket.

Not to be a party pooper, but you've been able to do this for years in protools using the 'vocalign' plug in. So, 'Rubbadub' might be awesome if you want to stay in the Adobe suite.

Yeah, agree - but still, it'd be nice if Avid allowed VocAlign to work in Media Composer! Hopefully this will motivate them!

And congrats Adobe!

I'm familiar with VocAlign, but this is still an exciting addition for Adobe. It will be interesting how the two compare.

Exactly what Greg said. Your audio should ideally never be dubbed or finished in your editor anyways.

Sweet. Will that be available via a CS5.5 update or CS6?

My instinct would say definitely CS6. I've never known Adobe to give out features for free - even for most of the new things in CS5.5 I'd even have thought would be a free point release, but they charged instead.

Maybe I'm just too used to RED's generous upgrade policies, but other companies do it too sometimes - I remember one day unexpectedly getting a free update for Apple's Logic Studio Pro that brought in full 64 bit support...
