We got our quad battery and module adapter...

It's super nice to finally have them and I think they are great and all...

So here are my complaints:

I wish the screw under the adaptor module was a wing nut or such. our rental clients loose at least one thing on each rental period... now they need to keep track of a small torch driver as well.

Then it's the quarter inch screw holes on the top. They are great almost like having a top mounting plate on. Only one thing with the epic M fan grill it does not work it stick out so far so there is no possibility to put a nato rail there or such...

I think it works on the epic X so the question is should we have to buy X fan grills to make it work and if so how much are those?

I remember RED saying they were going to replace the fan grills on the Epic Ms, but I'm not certain. Anyone know for sure?

I remember Jarred talking about the heatsink replacement for M owners, not sure about the grill.

After all grills are what distinguish M from X on the outside.

Im thinking of taking the grill off and use a angle cutter and sand of the "back wing" of our M grill. But I guess that's not so good for the warranty... Since it would be so nice to have a nato rail right behind the grill even when not having the quad on.

If I could wish for more the adaptor module should have had screw holes even on the side so we could have vertical nato rails there. Then I would find it a bit easer to oversee the increased body size when having the adapter on.

I hope Red's new policy of "not saying much before it's in the web shop" does not make the developing phase slow down. I think beta testers and all is great but there are many good tips and hints even among the rest of us that would just not make it into the final products with that policy. I would find that to be sad. So I hope red continue to make cameras according to their top expertise and then fluff it up to an even higher level buy letting this very forum and the users grind those ideas back and forth before release dates.
