I have a couple of shots that were intended to be 24 FPS and I accidentally shot that at 30 conformed to 24, what would be the best way to get this back to normal time and looking natural. Im ok with the motion blur for these scenes being a bit 30p looking as long as it doesnt look jerky. The scenes involve dialogue. Any help would be much appreciated!

You could also look at speed ramping software like Twixtor. As you are going down in frame rate, artefacts should be less of a problem than the other way round where it would have to extrapolate data.

No problem to convert the footage to 24p or 25p and then just time warp the sound. We did this all the time back when 5D did not kick in 25P. You need to use audio filter (forgot the name of it) so the people does not sound drunk. But when pitched correctly even the person speaking will not notice a thing. I actually did this for a film when the swedish prime minister was having a speech.

Ok thanks guys! So its clear though my footage plays back in 24 in slow motion and I need to to play in real time to sync with sound. Im looking into twixtor and will read that article when I got home. Any other suggestions are welcome!!

My footage is in 23.976 and plays back slow motion since the frame rate was 30, in premiere or after effects what would be the best way to synch sound. I also thought about slowing my audio down and correcting pitch but fear their movements will be to slow.

Twixtor. Will take a while if you're doing it in After Effects with R3Ds. I'd say exporting to ProRes then speeding with Twixtor would be the way to go.

Another thing to note is that audio playing at 29.97fps is the same as 23.976fps. As long as you weren't in true 30p, the audio can be left alone.

Just reinterpret the footage as 24p in premiere pro. Done.
