  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Accessories for sale at NAB Red Booth?

I believe it's NAB's policy to prevent purchasing things on the floor. Some people get away with it [CineBags, for example], but it's sort of an under-the-table thing. I don't think one could really set up a "store" on the floor.

At NAB exibitors may "sell" products. But cannot conduct the physical transfer on show floors. The is the basic premise of it if I remember correctly.

That may be true but I know that both Samys and B&H sell limited quantities of products off the floor. I purchased from them there.

NAB strictly prohibits over-the-counter sales (i.e.: cash, check or credit card). Only bona fide business orders for future delivery are permitted. NAB reserves the right to close down booths in violation of this regulation.
Taken directly from NAB manual. I dont know why they get special permission.

We will have a computer there for online sales to be delivered as normal.

I've definitely purchased things at NAB and walked away with them. I bought two sound fx libraries last year, right from Sound Ideas booth. Maybe there are exceptions.

Shawn,

just wondering since you've had you're camera for a while now and you've shot lots of things. is it living up to everything you expected of it ?

I bought and took home a lovely JL Cooper controller from Promax in the past - it was a steal. Thursday is the day to troll for deals.

Why do you think Thursday is a good day to get deals on stuff?

The larger manufacturers have an inventory of product dedicated to the show circuit and/or demo gear that you simply wouldn't want to buy. The little guys that don't have booth crews would rather sell you their stuff on Thursday than haul it all back to the office. Deals can be had that last day, when the aisles are empty and everybody is ready to get out of Dodge.

Definitely no....it's much more :-)

The fact that it just keeps getting better blows me away. It occasionally scares me how good this camera is. It scares me because now there are no more excuses for not creating your best.
