With the revamped ergonomics of the Weapon's I/O ports, I thought it could be useful for RED to consider releasing a revised version of their AC Power Adapter.

The idea is to make the Lemo cable that attaches to the Camera and Power adapter also removable from the AC adapter. Then offer multiple versions of the lemo cable which would have options for straight and 90 degrees as well as varying lengths. It seems having those options could be valuable to Weapon as well as Epic and Scarlet

I'd be curious of other's thoughts on this. Good idea? Bad? Other?

IMO anything that introduces flexibility in swapping cables (and therefore can also provide redundancy options) gets my thumbs up!

Seems to me what would make the most sense considering the AC Adapters are "universal worldwide" would be to have separately sold extensions that go straight to right angle or whatever.

who uses AC adapter anyways?

A lot of different types of productions out there. Sometimes on long shoot days on the stage I'll run off the AC and even leave a battery attached if power dies for some reason. I've also done long timelapse work using the AC using generator doing the same exact thing. I've seen the same on some sets. Fairly common, just not the "most common" thing to do.
