A Time For Goodbye

[Chris McKechnie]

Hey Redusers! I just wanted to reach out to you all here to say thank you. The past 7 years or so that I've been a part of this RED community have been amazing, and I've learned so much from you guys. Whether it be issues on set that get resolved by a late night private message, or getting great/constructive feedback on a film I put together, to being able to help other filmmakers, to the many new collaborators I've become great friends with (way too many names to mention), this is unlike any other community/family out on the inter-webs.

With that being said...recently, and entirely unexpectedly, I've shifted my priorities and gear around. Family and doing faith-based work have really been at the forefront of my mind and heart, which is why I moved to TX from LA to work as a filmmaker with a Christian production company. While I'll still be doing freelance work as well, I won't have as much time to be present here on the forums, really, at all, which is sad, but at the same time, a blessing for my family and me.

Again, I appreciate all of you. My sincere thanks...you have been an inspiration and best of luck to everyone here on their filmmaking journeys!

Oh..and as a final goodbye, I've discounted all of my iPP2 LUTS! https://cm-luts.myshopify.com

Chris, not sure why it needs to be a goodbye. If you're still working in the same line, no need to leave. There are a LOT of us who have shifted, but are still here.

Stick around, you're still a valuable contributing member. There is no requirement. Heck, it's just a forum. Besides, none of us are ever going to catch Phil's post tally. ;-)

[Brent Carter]

Congrats, Chris! Though I have a hunch that Mark is correct, we will still see you around every now and then....

[Bob Gundu]

Hey buddy. I’ll miss you around here but I know We’ll rub elbows elsewhere. Best of luck though.

Haha! True...I just didn’t want people to think I just vanished or think other things. Just wanted to make sure the air was clear, and show my appreciation to all of you.

Congrats, Chris! Though I have a hunch that Mark is correct, we will still see you around every now and then....

Thanks sir! You’ve definitely been a huge help through the years!
