  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I was in the market to buy a blue streak filter and wanted to test before I buy so I did a quick little Blue Streak filter test with my girlfriend at her place, my buddy really liked it and decided to edit it so I could post it for anyone who wanted to see the test. Been meaning to write a review on my site (still writing it) and post the test here for anyone interested in using this filter. But been really busy shooting a feature and finally took some time off to write up a review and post on here. So the test goes as follows, to light source, ARRI 650 with Cyan reflecting off the pole. Bottom light source is a direct source, a small little LED maglight like they used in star trek. Shot everything at 2k 60fps on my Scarlet, lens choice was the canon 24-70 and 70-200. Hope anyone who was looking for a blue streak test answers any questions they may of had.

Just kidding. That footage looks great. I've never considered using a streak filter before, but this peaks my interest.

haha thanks, it's a great filter to through in to spice up a shot. I ordered the 1mm filter, just gotta wait for it to come in.

What brand is it? So far I'm only finding 2 companies making this filter and one of them stopped making them.
 
He said he got it from Filter Gallery, but I don't see one on their site. Maybe contact them and ask?

That's where I ordered from and used in the test. all 3 strengths in 4x5.6 sizes. Still waiting on mine to be made though.
