  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

A good first PL zoom?

For zooms and lower costs I would actually skip the pl part of it. Check out Ebay for Angie FD zooms. There you get lenses that would cost over 10 times more in pl. Fd zooms are super small, have tge focus swing you need and are perfect for moving quick. And its more fun to get 10 good lenses instead of one.

+1 for non PL. just rent PL when you need it, much cheaper than buying it. Any decent cine pl zoom will be expensive or heavy. you can get retro angies or cookies "cheap", but 20 lb lenses ain't exactly the ideal form factor in my book.

have you considered the 0 percent financing on new cine glass? abelcine, duclos, lots of quality places running that promotion... canon cine zooms are both light and quality, but ain't cheap at all, were talking 20k

me personally, sticking to nikkor until Dragons out. then will revisit issue when money is available again, months and months from now. until then cheapo glass it is...

i figure i can always sell my cheap glass when i upgrade... to retro PL...
