Not much red in here but a little bit. Still wanted to share it as I´m very honoured to have participated in the making of this one. Possibly the biggest commercial production I been brought into.
14 days shoot in Paris with pretty much every studio in town booked. Now when I look at this release film it´s like looking at just a crumb of the cake. André Chemetoff, DP for it all had 5 alexas, one phantom flex, one phantom 4k and our weapon to his disposal together with a truck load of lenses. K-35 zooms and primes, Vantage 1.0´s, Super baltars, Spherical lomos, optimo zooms and some more. So quite a potpourri it was.

I find it´s quite amazing that Chanel did let us do the post for all this. As my french is not really there and further more, normally they go to Micros or some of the other big players based in Paris, and not letting some guys that sit in a small garage far up north handle it for them. So they really went out of their ways when letting us onboard which I´m very proud of.

The film launches Lilly Rose Depp, daughter of Vanessa Paradise and Jonny Depp, as a front figure for Chanel for this world wide renewal campaign of the No5 fragrance. Which is quite cool as Vanessa did the same thing when she was young.

I think this is not the last we will see of Lilly. As she is only 16 years old and she got quite a few things going for her, possibly not living the hardest of a teenage girl life. Or kicking it as the face for Chanel is at least not like any of the summer jobs I used to have when I was her age, lol.

Glad you liked it. Don't have much behind the scenes from this one as all such is strictly prohibited. But I got this one frame which I find quite fun. Even though we probably had the best pyrothech guy in Europe and where shooting smoke charges and little explosives and such for I don't know how many days with a little second unit and the phantom 4k, we still could not really do a big smoke things as it was in paris and there had been those terrorist attacks and such so no smoke was aloud in town and we could not really shoot it in the studios....

So even though we had all the budget in the world, we found ourselves on top of the glas roof of Le Grand Palais and had + 50 something top models up there on a little platform, where we where supposed to shoot something that symbolized the french revolution.... But the sun was shining and it all looked like kind of like a flat school photo as we could not have smoke, crackers flairs or any such things up there as the presidents palace is right next to it and people would go nuts if they saw smoke coming from the Palais.

So in this frame below Im standing not on top of the grand palais but on the roof of my summer house at midnight with a construction light and a smoke charge shooting my self against a somewhat black sky (midnight sun in sweden during summers) while mimicking the girls hand moments from the shots in the edit... would of course been better to have smoke in the real take but this little one man band pickup smoke plate shoot actually saved the shot and I guess thats whats matter. Lol.
