Got the 9" Sail today (Thanks Greg M) and man this thing is huge, it's bigger than the camera! Can't wait to put it to good use.

I love my 9inch although I do find it heavy (when doing anything but tripod with it). Mine tends to get loose over time. Not sure if there is a way to fix or tighten this without sending it back. I think the weight and the same style hinge is the problem. Perhaps it's just mine but I think I recall others having the same issue.

Anyhow, enjoy. It's much easier to touch menus then on a 5inch.

Congrats Chad.

Since getting my 9.0" Touch my 5.0" Touch hasn't been on the camera once! Even for my shoulder setups.

I would say the additional power draw is pretty unnoticeable. I keep my 5.0" just in case something on a catastrophic level happens or if I need to rent another body.

Please tell me about the resolution....I haven't seen one in person (I saw it at NAB, but couldn't get close to it).
I "hear" that the resolution wasn't as crisp as the 5"....
What are your thoughts?

That's crazy talk. If it wasn't as sharp I wouldn't be using. The whole reason I bought it was to be able lock critical focus better really.

I have a SmallHD for small handheld shoots but I find that most of my clients like the 9" and touch capabilities (despite it being rather awkward on shoulder mount setups). The smallhd seems like it's really just for me or the 2nd AC. My colleagues jokingly request to place an order for a 'big mac' using my 9inch...ha, ha.
