  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Anyone still using one of these for greenscreen with tungsten lighting for dragon?
I used it a lot on RED ONE M and MX but haven't shot green screen since then ;-)

best wishes and kind regards,
martin

I don't use them with the Dragon sensor. Much has changed between Mysterium-X and Dragon on the color front.

In terms of balancing the Image for green screen work, I don't think it's necessary anymore (specially when using the STH OLPF), but I feel that tungsten sources when corrected with blue gels, give you a much different texture than you can achieve by white balancing in camera. Such texture may be desired sometimes.

If I can I'll still use it for blue or green screen work. Just take a look at the blue channel of the histogram with and without it. Bottom line is you'll have "less" noise in the blue channel.

thanks Rodrigo and Dylan - i will give it a try next week.
