  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

6k Mag Weapon vs. 6k Epic Dragon

Phils point on how 8K Dragon exceeds the S35 4:3 area is a good one.
Me? I'd love to see FF 4:3... :)

But VistaDragons will probably be very lovely
 
To add to this discussion, I've found some test videos of the RED Dragon, Weapon and Arri Alexa Mini. I don't know if this has already been discussed - so pardon if I'm reiterating - but I'm a bit puzzled as to why the Dragon and Weapon footage look different?

I figured same sensor, resolution, and fairly similar internals would create a carbon copy image no? Or is there something about the Weapon's distinct internal processing, electronics, or metadata that would render different color, contrast, and DR? Or maybe a firmware delineation?Here's a link to the test:

I've put a deposit down on the Scarlet-W but this footage makes me scratch my head as to whether to go for the Weapon/W line or just get a used Epic Dragon?
