  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

5K Epic .... Thank you Jim

Who wouldn't want a RED One and a RED Epic? The Epic will be great and I hope we can afford one (and keep 291). The RED One is the camera I fell in love with at first sight. You always remember your first and I wouldn't want to give that up.

5K EPIC thank you. I agree totally. RED is right on track.

5K EPIC... thank you.
....

Everything that Jim has produced has been worth 6x if not more than what it was sold for, aside from the Lemo cables.

So I say, 40k? 50k?

We have two products available under $20,000, one of those under $4,000

The reality is EPIC is priced very reasonably, even by RED pricing standards.

I went to NAB, walked the booth for half an hour and thought that RED had absolutely nailed it in terms of the product mix.

After I recovered from the REDEYE flight on Thursday I logged onto REDUSER and couldn't believe the BS flying. What's wrong with these people?

I sincerely feel that once build 16 is out and debugged, if the whole world stopped making cameras I would be perfectly happy shooting with REDONE #206 for the rest of my life.

Yet, you can put me down right now for a Scarlet - a perfect companion camera to the REDONE, and I will seriously consider EPIC when the time comes, as the price is still extremely attractive compared to any of the competition - and the full credit makes it even better.

Jim, Stewart, Jarred, Graeme, etc. - so far you've batted 1.000 so keep going and just let the others catch up when they figure it out. (And don't take it too seriously when numnuts like me complain about accessories cables and such). What I saw at NAB totally convinced me that RED isn't a one-hit wonder and I look forward to going along for the ride.

Again, thanks.

(BTW Alexander my cable comment has nothing to do with yours, I complained - maybe a little obnoxiously - to Jarred about getting some longer cables a week or two before NAB. But as far as the price (if that is what you meant) check out having the LEMO cables made (I have... which is why I have begged and cajoled to get longer ones from RED.) you will find RED's price for LEMO cables is extremely fair. )
