At the end stage of post. My sound guy is doing a 5.1 mix for me. He said he'll deliver a bunch of mono tracks for me to bring into resolve (we're finishing in resolve) The problem is I nor my colorist has really worked with a 5.1 mix. All my projects have just been stereo. Do I just drop all the tracks in the resolve timeline for my movie? I'll be going to a post house to lay it to HDCAM SR. I was told to make a DPX sequence of the project, but how is the audio handled? Thanks!

You can drop all of the mono tracks into Resolve (the order is typically L, R, C, LFe, Ls, Rs) and then use the audio mixer tool to send them out to the correct channels. This is only useful if you want to export out a self contained QT of your project with audio.

But since your post house is requesting DPX for the SR, just deliver the mono tracks to them directly (you don't need to add them into Resolve). They will drop them into their Clipster (or whatever else they are using) along with the DPX and sync them up.
