What do we know about audio? No holes up front so any thoughts? Good morning US folks!

I saw a mic port.

Time to sell some stuff and forget about some other...

Reserve one for me Jarred. ;)

Will keep my Scarlet-Dragon (and upgrade it to Mini-Mag to unify media).

This looks indeed like a totally new breed, love the fact that it's going to be the lightest and smallest RED. Reminds me of the fixed Scarlet3k - which originally brought me to RED and i still would love to hold in my hands one day.

Whoa, this is realizes so many things i have been asking for...

Your C300 package prices include Red accessories? Great page though, thanks for taking the time!

I've updated the headlines. It was always meant as a "for the price of a C300mkII, you get...."

And I mean... look at what you get for that price. Quite a bit. Dual 240GB minimag, touch monitor PLUS the OLED with mount...

I would love to see the side where the sidekick should be attached (or a new side handle) ;)

$6k for brain, $14-16k up and running with minimal accessories sounds like a more practical number. Would hardly say 1 mag/redvolt is rts, unless the user is already invested in the red eco-system. Either way, my credit card is ready :)

Really glad the higher priced forecasts did not come to pass.

Its still a 10K camera to get shooting, but its close enough to 4ALL to make some sense!

20.48mm @ 4k. If I remember correctly thats inside the image circle for MFT lenses if shooting 16:9 or wider aspect ratio's.

Been a long time since I imagined RED would put a product out on my radar.. I guess until Friday I'll dare to dream of a MFT mount for Raven and shooting R3D's with my sweet collection of Olympus glass. And with the Veydra Cine primes on the market now.. getting too far ahead of myself. 3 more days.

It's an EF mount and Dragon 4k is a bit wider than MFT. It's closer to APS-C. We already know quite a bit about it.

I was really excited about all this but now I wonder if this makes sense for me. Currently, I'm doing a lot of documentary work. If I'm out on a 12-hour shoot with no access to power for charging batteries and no time to dump cards as I go, I'd have to invest an absurd amount of money in power and mags.

So even though the brain is affordable especially given what we know about it, the expensive, proprietary, and required accessories really make me think this isn't going to work out for me.

Then again, I am trying to shift my focus to more narrative work.

In short: I don't know, man. I don't know.

Just the batteries. You can empty your mags to notebook when it's full.

EF mount is deal-breaker for me. I have shelves full of Nikon and PL glass - but not a single piece of Canon. It's as much use to me as a chocolate condom, sorry.
