nice ammo size

Heads up to anyone purchasing the 240, the data rate is NOT the same.

6K at 24 is 5:1 for the 240GB and for the 512GB it's 4:1. This is not mentioned on the purchase page, so beware.

If I bought the mini SSD for my scarlet and a mini mag...will I get different frame rate options or compressions that I wouldn't with the regulars mags?

Confirmed on a job today, you lose two stops of compression the higher the frame rate. I'd advise that Red makes that info public. 48fps at 6K is 10:1 on a 240GB card and 8:1 on a 512GB card. Stay away if you're looking for lower compression.

Not as of now, no.

Curious, why? In the past, colors indicated different data transfer speeds. All mini-mags currently offered boast the same.

See above : )

Brent ... is this a bug that the data rates are different? Can we expect that the data rates will be the same in the future?
Also if the data rates will be different, what is the data rate for the 1TB?

I am prepping for the 8k, and also generally use the lowest RC that is possible for my FPS, I also only have 1 minimag right now and need to get a couple more so need to know what to buy.

Thanks Charles for testing. Has anyone tested with the 1tb?
