  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

This just makes me feel so lucky... If the epic was at the 34500 starting point I couldn't afford it. I can only thank the Red team for offering us the opportunity to buy this fantastic camera at 27500 during last month... Its a dream come true to be able to afford the best Red has to offer! Like I said before, the first proper film I shoot with it I'll give credit to Jim, Jarred, Graeme, Ted, Rob, Brent, Michael, Deanan, and the rest of the red team, as well as those that personally dealt with me, Kris, Nick from the Bomb Squad (and Brent, again!), for making it possible. A very, very big thank you to the Red Team for looking after us redusers and supporters! :)

You as customer are grateful for "what 'they' let you have". LOL :)

Since the very early beginning (Jannard's first post? :D) I easily got this RED project would be a tremendous success as it has been.

No 'Jim Murdoch' would succeed vs. Jim Jannard, his way of doing business (his communication/marketing, his dedication to a project, commitment, his hard work, his choices on his team to work with him and altogether ...and so on ;-)

Wish I could have taken you up the great 2011 offer on the EPIC X, but I'll have to stick with Scarlet for now :) but I'm overly excited about it ! Too bad I will have to deal with the higher price, once I'll be able to afford it all, but you can't always have everything :)

If I want a DUAL Battery module, could I swap a QUAD that is a part of the Stage 2 package for a DUAL?

and I'd like to offer a testing in a harsh COLD environment here in Russia :)

Quick question on the battery modules, Do they draw the power from one Redvolt at a time or do they take a steady feed from all the volts and thus require swapping out for fresh ones all at the same time?

As far as I've read, they're hot swappable. So, I think its safe to assume they draw power from one battery at a time. Therefore you can swap batteries, while continuously running. Just as if you are running off of bricks with a revolt in the side handle, you can hot swap bricks without shutting the camera down.

One at a time, they will run one down then automatically switch to the other.. so you just pull the dead one out.

Pictures dude... We all need pictures.

Hi speed REDVOLT quad or dual chargers is what we are all begging for ! You cannot bring out these battery modules without hi speed chargers at the same time, Thats like sending an Epic without side grips, 5 touch screens, RED volts and Redmotes.. :))))) (being cheeky) :)
