  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

If you are looking to upload higher quality YouTube videos ideally what you want to do is upload a higher quality file because when you upload they re-compress your likely already compressed file.

If you are looking for REDCODE RAW Compression Ratio Advice. I personally try to shoot generally in 5:1-8:1 and often go up to 12:1 when over cranking.
 
No. I usually shoot 10/12:1 for youtube content, going past that will make you very, very sad during editing.
At the end I upload ProRes directly to YT.
 
Youtube compression has a "look."

It does smooth out some things but it also looks horrible in the 20's at lower resolution.
