  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

1st 24 hours with an Epic

I just love the last image. I am hoping that after all the initial frenzy with resolution the technicians will see that they need to enlist the serious support of some artists to develop sensors which have more of the feel of film.

Choice of glass, lighting and exposure are factors in that respect, though....
Not only noise charracteristics.
The old angie isn't only vignetting, slow and soft, it also adds noise, for lack of better words, even with "enough" light.

There's nothing "perfect". What I like about Epic is "Versatile" :)

It IS very good to test your tools with technical perfect equipment like the MPs

And it is kinda addictve to watch those images.

But then, as a shooter, you'll have to go for the ideas. Not the technically measurable optimum.... Methinks...

And my kids... they are beautifull ideas! :)

These two images kinda reflect slightly different ideas and aesthethics...

But I can have both with Epic... :)

Just came across this thread today. Thanks so much Gunleik. Love the reviews and comparisons. Keep it coming.

Nice ! Grading with RCX Pro ?

Thanks again!

Yes, most of the shots are directly from RCX-P. I only miss a way to work with single channels a lot there (yeah - masks and all, but of the stuff generally and usually do)

I've used Shake to extract and/or blend channels when I wanted to. Oldish' I know. I jst happen to like it still... Even though DPXs are the best working export option in + 8-bit.

A lot of the images are just quickly brushed in Preview :)

LOL

Photoshop is so slow...

That second photo of the chicken burger is KFC's posters that are at bus stops all over the UK for there new BBQ burger right? Did you shot the campaign on the Epic?

Edit: Never-mind I just read the nice message pasted to the KFC poster, yep that sounds like London alright :-)

Ha ha. I still use Shake too. Such an awesome program.

Thanks again!
