  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Nothing wrong with that method for quick assumptions at all...have done it plenty of time myself connected to 17" monitors as well as the onboards. It's quick and doesn't lie, may not be the most scientific way but it's pretty solid.

But some people in this forum are quick to shoot down people with their 'be all and end all' knowledge of everything. Personally i don't go 100% with what anyone tells me as 'solid evidence' unless i have seen it with my own eyes. it's too easy to post some test and just 'massage' things to fit ones opinion. I havn't seen the 18mm in person yet but am pretty impressed with the rest of the set so far, if it lives up to those standards that's great. I can't remember the last time i watched something at full 4.5k on a cinema screen and said, jeez that's a little soft:)
 
The 18mm is an excellent piece of glass. And Brigham, you are right, you should see yourself with your own eyes, as should everyone else.
 
I received my 18mm last week, i've got to congratulate the RED team, i really can't believe you pulled this off to such a high standard, for the money, it's a complete no brainer not to have one if you can find the dough.
 
Thank you Tony! Unbelievable amounts of detail. I wonder what it would look like by pushing the limits of sharpening and at shooting at sweet-spot.

Can't wait to see what the 14mm will look like now!
 
Anyone receive their 18mm recently?

What serial numbers are we up to?
 
A friend of mine just got his 18mm the other night and I finally got to put my hands on it and try it out. It is such a beautiful piece of glass. I was really impressed.

Serial numbers are not tied to order numbers :)
 
If ordered today, what is the current wait time for RPP set owners?
 
Depends if you are ordering Imperial or Metric. Right now, Imperial is shipping at-once and Metric is not far behind.
