Check out Maxx Digital's 16 Bay Thunderbolt 2!

Evo 6G 16 Bay Thunderbolt2

Maxx Digital welcomes their own Evo 6G 16 bay chassis to the Thunderbolt party! This 16 bay chassis will unleash the raw power built inside your Thunderbolt2 enabled computer, practically allowing it exceed it's spec'd bandwidth. This RAID has the ability to expand up to 128TB in a single 3RU chassis! This will hold not just hours or days, but weeks of RAW 4K, 5K and even 6K footage. This storage array can be configured in various RAID levels including RAID 0, 1, 10, 3, 5, 6, 30, 50, 60, and JBOD. Built inside is Intel's latest Thunderbolt2 technology featuring ultra fast I/O performance of 20 Gb/s.

Expandable!
Of course since the Evo 6G 16 Bay is equipped with Thunderbolt2, users are able daisy chain upto 6 other Thunderbolt enabled devices. The uniqueness of our product is in the SAS-Expander, you can also daisy chain other SAS RAID arrays to this Evo 6G model. Easily connect older storage up to this and have it mount on your newer Thunderbolt2 computer.

Ryan, these sound like interesting products but your posts feel like ads. If you're going to post, give us the goods! Pricing, details, info, so we can pick it apart, compare, complain etc. (what forums are good for).

Trevor, you're right on your assessment. However, to my knowledge, MAXX Digital is in fact a REDUSER Sponsor, even though it's not showing under Ryan's name. I have inquired to the higher-ups about this, as I myself am looking for some clarification on a few things.

Carry on...

wow there is a 128TB version, meaning your packing it with 8 TB drives, interesting times.

I'm all game to hear about new products... just do it as a friendly human, not a cut & paste robot. That doesn't fly here.

Trevor and Jeff,

You guys are right. I did not mean for these to look (seem) like ads. Just wanting to get feed back on our two new items. The Thunder Share and 16 Bay Thunderbolt 2.

2 User Thunder Share Studio starting at $6,449 for 24TB and our 16 Bay starting at $10k for 32TB and going up to around $20k for 128TB.

Thank guys

How loud is it? Physical Depth? What RAID card is in it? The product page is extremely sparse.

The depth of the 16 Bay is 23 inches and the RAID card is Thunderbolt. It can be daisy chained. The noise is 58 decibels.

Ryan, how many of these have you daisy chained, and do all the speeds stay fast along the chain, or does it slow down
each time you add a chassis.

Thanks
Troy

Troy,

You can daisy chain up to 6. Recommended for best performance is no more than 3. After that speed significantly drops off, unlike MiniSas. It also depends on how many chassis you are tapping into at one time. Speed also depends on the kind of computer you are using. (Mac Pro, Mac Book Pro, etc.)

Thanks,
Ryan

Ahh i see, so with mini sas and a pcie controller card you can daisy chain past 3 without losing speed?

A Mini sas system with Pcie controller card with 3 or more daisy chained chassis will lose speed but not as much as a thunderbolt daisy chain would.
