  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

1501-1750?

You also told us that NAB won't slow down shipping orders and that orders would go out 3-5 days after payment has been posted. I'm more than 2 weeks fully paid up here and still no tracking number. What do you think would be the reasoning behind that?

I think Dexter's point was he is part of the previous group, that is supposedly not effected by the hold. As am I. Supposedly.

I prepaid my order a couple of weeks before the emails went out. As it turns out I am still in the line for tracking numbers. So I am not sure this helps.
 
According to Big Jon end of April for 1501-1750. Only 4 days left, still no tracking number, and my money has been with Red for almost 3 weeks now.
Any word how many cameras they have or how long in may be? I don't think the end of April is going to be realistic.

I think you are right Sir. It sure doesn't look like it judging by user reports.

Ahhh Yes... I tormented myself with this same question, it's important to realize the exact wording of this statement.

"1501-1750 begin shipping in April"

The key word being "begin" meaning as long as a few in that group have gone out in April, (which has already happened) then technically they have already met this. It doesn't say the bulk of the group or all of the group will ship in April, just "begin" shipping.

At least two people from our group have posted their deliveries over on the "Unboxing" thread. There's probably a few others who have received product that haven't posted.

It's like watching your wife being pregnant for 11 months and wondering when the hell is your new baby showing up???
 
I just picked mine up late yesterday. I bothered my rep after every step. When I sent the money, then 3 days later he told me the money was posted to my account and to allow 7 to 10 business days. It was sent in 8.

Anybody who isn't sure what's going on, you should check if the money has been "Posted to your account" with Red. I did a wire transfer, so it was very fast. Good luck!
 
You picked yours up in California and paid tax on it even though you're based in Toronto? Perhaps cheaper doing so and smuggling it home other than paying the import taxes... Or you picked it up from a shipping office locally to you?

I thought that they did not allow pickups anymore from Red HQ.

Several of us have wired & formally posted fairly early to the first & second email... Besides the obvious overwhelming demand I think there's various parts shortages that are holding many of us up.

Congratulations on your landing of Mr. 1628. What (if any) items were missing from your order?
 
I ordered the RED primes last year... would I have to pay for those to get the RED ONE? I have no idea when these primes will be ready to ship... would hate to have to pay 20k for something I won't see for a long stretch.
 
No, I did not go to California, I picked it up from the Fed Ex office after a couple of days figuring out customs.

I was only missing the Bottom Plate, and the Shoulder Dove Tail. So it's heavy and uncomfortable, but I'm glad they didn't wait to get those in stock before they shipped.
 
ok now I'm getting pissed. My money was posted to my account on the 7th. Still no camera. It's becoming very clear to me that no matter when you pay, or what serial number you are, that your "bombsquad" team member is the real determining factor.

I transfered my money on 18/3/08 ... well before the emails went out. Even if you allow a week for the wire transfer to be put to my account I still should be one of the first to be shipped.

Anyone at Red Please let us know whats actually going on. The least you should do is let us know where in the paymnent recieved line we stand !
 
Is there more happy owner than #1628, 1649 & 1740 in this batch out there...
