  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

1501-1750?

Anyone got a tracking number yet for 1501 to 1750 ?

Cheers, Tim

I hope not, since I'm still waiting for a tracking number for Serial #1268. And I confirmed the order the day it was emailed to me, and wired the $$$ the day it was requested (March 25th).

Last week the delay was because RED was "waiting for more lens mount lubrication" and this week because they are "stretched thin from NAB."

I still don't understand why others with higher serial #s and located in other countries have already received their shipments. I was told that orders were shipped in the order that they're paid for, but I wired the funds within 6 hours. Hmmmmmmm...a very interesting order fulfillment process.

Well, I'm very happy that delivery seems to have sped up the past couple months. I'm in the next batch though with #2163. I wonder how many cameras have been sold so far?

We want tracking numbers! We want tracking numbers! We want tracking numbers! We want... ok, sorry ;-)

Silence, Only the sound of crickets in the night...

My guess is most likely sometime next week... That's basically how it worked with the batch before us... The week after we got our initial emails the batch before us started to receiving their product. Since the batch behind us just received their emails tells me that our batch is pretty much close to being squared away and they are ready to take on another group of knuckle heads.

Try not to think to much about it and spend some time with your families this weekend, because next weekend we'll all be out messing around shooting test footage on our spanking new REDs!

Cheers.

Can not sleep....reeedddddd........... I feel like Homer in a beer daze....

--- Anyone else up.....

yep, but your 10 sooner than me :)

Too bad Mike you aren't in LA i'd bye you a beer...

I might be down for a shoot in a couple weeks though, still up in the air. Also to bad Tim Bradley isn't here or we could have 1676,1686,1696.

I know this is not relevant to most of you but since it pertains to you all approaching your delivery and knowing what numbers you are. For those of you that ordered and put down payments on your Red Ones... how do you know what number yours will be?

Put down a deposit today and the excitement is already building!!!!

Stephen,
I can only speak for myself, but they sent me an email some time after I ordered giving me my reservation number. In my case it was like 7 months, but that was a different time and things have changed. I suspect in your case it will be a matter of a couple weeks... if not less.

I know on the site it is estimating July ship dates. Bravo to all of you that waited it out for so long. I REALLY wish I would have jumped on board several months ago but now that the Birgen Canon lens adapter seems ready to ship and with all the positive feedback coming out of NAB... it was time to pull the trigger.

Thank you for the reply.

Mike Prevette you up man. Its terrible, I haven't slept in a day or so. Impatient I am...
