  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

If the Red one goes at 120fps in 2K mode then what speeds will the new brains go when also put into 2K(reduced K) modes?
 
Good point Stephan...all these options are being put out there to see how the market will react to but in the end of the day we must work with what available today and choose a format for tomorrow when we need to. 4k cinema is just now rolling out, broadcast tv plans on being completely 1k (1080) by 2009. Exciting times no doubt.

An amazing concept and I think this will be the most widely read product catalogue in the production community.

Looking forward to late next year, when I'll be able to fit an S35 Scarlet and a few lenses in my backpack, presuming I'll be able to get my mitts on one by then.

The 28k... Has to be the ultimate wide camera for concerts. Crop in post to any part of the stage!

I 100% agree.

Also the pricing of the accessories will be a key element that will make me go for the Epic upgrade or just the sensor upgrade.
 
I woke up and got a rush to see all this new bad ass shit! Now the dust needs to settle so I can see where my R1 stands and which upgrade I want.

So is PL out dated now?
Can we still get 5k, 13+stops, 100fps+, RC 100 (or something in that range)????

R1 Accessories obsolete?

I was all for jumping on EPIC since it debut, but shit is really foggy right now.

I don't think wrath, no ... he will just steamroller his way right over the obstacles! He doesn't get angry, he just gets brilliant! That's what I really admire about the man :-).

Just one suggestion for you guys. I was expecting Scarlet to be a simple, single-configuration camera and now it's an incredible wide range with millions of options. Would it be possible to see sample pricing for the camera in typical configurations (perhaps as you've shown with your renders)?

I look forward to becoming a Red customer next year!
