Let's try a chatroom for this..

No password, uses flash/irc

So...

You'll get a DSMC when you need it, then throw on the digital back and you get a camera the size of an HVX200 body with the extra bells and whistles.

That goes for Audio ports, Drives, Batteries, Monitor outputs etc.

hells ya....

HELLO RED TEAM!!!! YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!

Looking forward to tomorrow!

Here's a nice nostalgic image - the "BreadBox", which had a 1/3rd inch slice of the first Mysterium, if I recall. It's just amazing what you all have accomplished in such as short time. Thanks for all of your hard work!

[Alexandre Bouchard]

wowwwwwwww!!!!!!

[Noel Zinger]

Jim, this is amazing! Christmas has come early

[Graeme Nattress]

Ok, this is getting fun, so I broke out the Aberlour a'bunadh. Yummy.

"Select a brain. Configure your body" So does this mean there will be two choices for the Scarlet? DSMC or not? I'm confused.

[TallGuy]

Their brain

That's what I said, yo.

[S. Um]

Jim is posting the pictures faster now. I feel like we've got a grand finale coming up soon - like in a firework show.

Besides, that doesn't look like a slumber party at Red. They'll have to send the employees home soon.

[Joseph Ward]

It's all listed at store RED.com / cameras!

[Roberto Merlini]

Scarlet is the lite version and EPIC is the heavy one

[Roberto Lequeux]

More Jim, more!!!

[Justin O'Neill]

So it looks like you will be able to configure two different DSLR cameras now. One with the Scarlet sensor and one with the Epic sensor?

Thanks so much Jim and RED team! My heart is racing!

[Michael Thomas]

Ok, Scarlett Johanssen surely has heard about the cult celebrity she has won via this project?
If anyone here has had the chance to give her a heads-up, on set or otherwise, let us know!!!

[Wayne Dahlberg]

I've never had so much fun in a forum. I've been lurking ever since the announcement of scarlet, and this has to be the coolest way to get people excited about breakthrough technology. Thank you Jim and RED team.

[Alain DEUDJUI]

I told you!

[Thom Steinhoff]

If the Scarlet is using 35mm lenses wouldn't the sensor need to be bigger than 3k?

Just cut out of the center. Think of it as a Full frame lens on a 1.6 crop or as Red is more like a 1.6 crop, then it would be even tighter.

So... Jim, Epic Sensor size?

Ok, this is getting fun, so I broke out the Aberlour a'bunadh. Yummy.

Graeme

Can you guys at Red send us a screenshot of Graeme passed out in the morning. That would be a fun one for the archives.
