128GB CF Cards?!

[Imran Farouk]

So whilst we ponder on 64GB...it's apparent that 128GB has come along! Imagine when these sizes become RED friendly!!

Until then, they can be used on the HDSLR's...

90MB per second sounds too good to be true. I hope it's true ofcourse!

I wonder how much it's going to cost.

There was some 64GB cards that were also 90MB/s. Somebody here tested them, and while the read time was around 90, the write was much slower.

Still, this is good progress. It wasn't THAT long ago that my 128MB card cost me $200.00

Anyone knows if these 128GB works on the Red?
Does the CF module can handle them? or are we just playing with information?

The 128's are only announced, not released yet. Red tests a lot of CF cards, but they need to have excellent and sustainable read AND write times to be usable with the Red at 4K. To my knowledge, the only non-Red cards that work in 4K are the Lexar 300x 8GB cards.
