Dear Friends
please take some time to read my below message :

I saw a post 'UP LENS FOR SALE' from a senior member, looking at his profile and blogs , I wired 12500$, it's been 6 months and the Senior member of Reduser is neither giving the lens nor my money back, he should be ashamed to have intentions to cheat people , now I moved legal action against him and very soon I will reveal the name of the Senior member.

Feiends it's all the hard earned money that we try to invest and people do not honor the promises ,please verify all details thoroughly before purchasing any product , do not make any wire transfer, see the product physically , meet the seller and then purchase

Trust my suggestion will be helpful

Thanks
Charan

Sorry to hear this. Scams are definitely a problem when selling and buying. Hate it.

sorry to hear this. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is...

BTW, my 14mm and 35mm Master Primes are still available, if you are still interested.

Pawel... remembered when you were down and out once... Hope everything is fine with you

thanks Tai, I couldn't be any better now. Yes, health is top priority :)

Sorry to hear! Sucks to have things stolen from you.. I had my Epic stolen off a sub rental.. Gotta really be careful what you do with your $$. Always feel free to ask if people have references on here, were all really honest!!

That's pretty wretched, considering there is a certain trust put into somebody who is an active member of this community.

Maybe the problem is that 'Senior Member' needs to be redefined. I have only been a REDuser for less than a year but due to post count I am considered a Senior member. Maybe that title should be reserved for people who have been on the board for over a few years. Just my thoughts.

Yeah, I am a 'senior member', but I've only been posting since the BT Scarlet sale.

It's definitely a good idea when you're buying online to have talked with the person to assess their personality a bit, look for social accounts with a long history that lead definitively to a person. Look at how they behave with others. Look at their work to see how competent and legitimate they are.

Charanreddy I hope it gets sorted and the best of luck....

how does everyone else feel about starting a Trusted Sellers List? As a newbie Red owner I agree with Daniel that I look up to and cherish the attention and time RedUsers take to help me and I attempt to help others... I have recently spent a mere £600 buying RedUsers items and it has been nothing but a sheer pleasure dealing with the two gents. One included sending a lens and cash with the "promise" of my lens being sent on receipt. And of course everything went like clockwork...

So is there any mileage in a list of people who you've done business with and can, in a sense, vouch for?

regards

simon

I feel your pain. I lost out on 5000 dollars on a scarlet/epic trade, thankfully I didn't send the camera, the guy went through incredibly lengths to look legit.

That's the only time I've been scammed. But it hurt. A lot.

I just dealt with Paul buying a spare PL mount, and I have to say...THANK YOU.

That interaction was great.

Thanks Isaac ... Same goes for you. In truth it's the way it should be... Makes me upset to see people get taken advantage of.
