  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

11 days...

I dont understand all this hype...

...but just in case... i bought some Champaign...:)

she rolled her eyes when my first question to the birthing center is whether they have wifi
Actually that's why most women in Holland give birth at home.

Poitín

Poitín

As mentioned earlier Poitín (Pronounced "Putcheen" or "Putteen") depending on what part of Ireland your from is an illegal spirit or moonshine to our friends on the other side of the big pond.

Very good in small doses but only from reputable sources, can be lethal. It was made in a pot still from grain or potato's. Its still made today but in very secretive places. My first documentary on Scarlet maybe!! You heard it here first.

By the way whiskey note the "e" denotes Irish whiskey as opposed to Scotch which is sometimes spelt without the "e" (Whisky) came from Gaelic Uisce Beatha which means water of life could not be pronounced correctly by our English speaking neighbours who visited us for a while(ahem!) and the nearest they could come to the pronunciation was "whiskey".

Rock on Jim and Jarred! I'll have a drink for you on the 13th.:bleh:

With 11 days to go, I want to take a moment to thank all of you. We have listened. At 1st, it was difficult. We kept saying to ourselves "don't these guys know how difficult this stuff is?"... and "if they want that, they should try and build one themselves!". Then we really began to get comfortable with the tiger we had grabbed hold of. And many of the suggestions actually seemed within reach. So we decided to really stretch ourselves. The results of that stretch will become apparent on the 13th. Many of you have had input that pushed us to reach higher.

Of course there have been many suggestions that are just out of the question. They are either impossible or not realistic at a reasonable price. If those suggestions were serious (I sincerely hope they were not)... a few might actually be disappointed. But I doubt it. Especially if everything is considered.

Long way around saying that many of you have made a difference. That really is what this forum is supposed to be about. If we responded harshly early on, it was just because we didn't know how to do it all. Now we do. Well, at least much of it. Jim

Can you tell us what suggestions seemed impossible or not realistic at a reasonable price? LOL

As do I. I already feel like I am apart of it, even without owning anything of theirs. :)

I have not been very vocal in this community since I got my hands on my baby. Err, I mean my RED One.
But Jim and Jarred, you guys left me speechless. A thank you is the least I can say.
Your dedication and devotion to your product and customers is exemplary.
I don't think I'll be as happy when I become a father... :)

Two questions;
Is there some place online where we can vote/suggest for the company with the best customer care and after sales?
Have you entered the design of the RED One to any competition for industrial design?

Other than that, I can't wait till the 13th!
No, wait, I can, I've got my baby to keep me company and play with.

...and usually it is to tell each other of the same idea at the same time. Which makes it my idea, naturally...

ROFLMAO!!! HAHAHA!!!
I am sure he doesn't mind it from you Jim. After all you must be a sort of a god father to the geek genius in him. Glad to know that you value him. He is our Joe the Plummer! LOL... (only in the good ways, and please don't somehow find a way to take offense at this, anyone)

And don't forget Graeme! He is the one doing a lot of the stirring up of the magic potions!

My hat is off to all three of you, and to all the other hard working Red team members. We owe a portion of our green lights to you, or at least the better quality at which our vision is being captured.

10 days for the next revolution!

Thanks Roberto. I'm stirring away at new potions right now....

Graeme

Ironically ... the 13th is my wife's official "due date" (having another boy) but I fully expect the dude to come out early in time for Jim's announcement.

Besides ... I am hoping to avoid refreshing REDUSER.net on my iPhone while she's in labor ...

excitement all around - bravo Team Red!

Mark, Congrats!!!!

I like this idea...

That was in regards to the countdown clock. I've seen this done before, and the sites often go down within a minute or two of the end of the count, because all the page refreshing looks exactly like a denial of service attack. So, unless you're prepared for a 10,000x increase in page serves per second, I'd recommend against it. Let it get posted at some random time and people will arrive to check randomly, and the site will stay up.

Thanks Roberto. I'm stirring away at new potions right now....

Graeme

Leak! Leak! LEAK!!

Are we getting higher compression?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?
Are you taking advantage of some sort of warp hole anti matter thing?

No... It can't be higher compression... no way... but maybe at a minimal loss of quality?

It has to be something else... What in the world could you be working on?! I know nothing about what you do! Are you even human?!?! :pinch:

Please Roberto, you should know better than that.... I'm not even Welsh....
