  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I hope this resolves itself with the return of #0006.

Having never met Mark, I know of his generosity to the entire RED community and I know he will continue to be. I hope you consider that if #0006 does not get returned, that Mark becomes the rightful owner of #0007.

This is just a minor setback...as much as it feels like shit...it will feel better later and the juice will be much sweeter...sometimes you get a kick in the nuts just to feel awake and appreciate things...

Without the downs you wouldn't feel the ups. You don't want a flat line.
This is just one "down" point and you'll love the "up"...

RED is the best company in the history of the world! Awesome gesture! These idiots just stole the Mona Lisa and probably don't even know it. I so hope they get busted trying to pass it off.
 
I also think Craigslist should be notified of this.. Who know's, they might be completely and totally ignorant to what they've actually stolen.. once relevant keywords enter the craigslist biosphere they could notify Jim or Mark direct..

All the customs hubs in FR should be notified as well..

Gosh, reminds me of the time I moved to LA with my 1995 Honda Civic si with 60k miles. I'll never forget the first day I arrived in LA to stay at a friends place for the night in the Valley. I parked in the tightest little spot at about 5pm, it was one of those 50pt super parallel jobs and I was proud of it. Literally 5" of space in the front and back, I was amazed.. The next morning I go out to the car I used to own and it's gone! Poof.. vanished.. What's even more unnerving is the two cars that were there the night before are still there and there isn't a scuff or scratch on either bumper!! WTF!! I remember how raped I felt, all of a sudden EVERYONE was guilty.. I CANNOT imagine what having Epic #6 stolen feels like. Not only the $$ but the amount of time patiently waited out to actually hold it. Not to mention the time of year!! Damn, I hope this is resolved and the thief/theives are caught and dealt with accordingly...

Getting a psychic or remote viewer might not be a bad idea since this camera has SOOOOOOO much energy and focus behind it! That would be my first pursuit as I sure the actual authorities won't put any "extra" effort into the return of the stolen goods..

first thing is to get a list of all people on this forum since those guys probably know that Mark was at Meribel and has the EPIC ...
Secondly take all the european people to make a smaller list then french people or people living around France and start the investigation...

That's really harsh for MARK ... sorry for him even if I was jaleous to death to see him with a dreamy camera I cannot afford...
I cannot imagine how bad he is feeling.
Hope you will find it back soon... This is all I can wish him for this new year :/ !
 
Bravo Jim. The fact that Mark got his first, and now the fact that you're doing this shows your respect for tradition, history and brotherhood. Another reason to feel proud being part of the Red movement ....
 
I sincerely hope that the people responsible don't believe getting rid of the evidence will change anything in this scenario. You will still be found, and the consequences will definitely not be better...

glad to hear no one was hurt or injured, truly a terrible thing to wake up to. RED has always been a great company, this speaks highly of the character of its leadership.
 
I was lurking and came across this thread on the front page. All I can say is wow at the whole situation! Amazing company, amazing support. I'm glad that everyone is okay for all you know this could of turned into something violent.
