100% Pure Middle earth. Shot on EPIC?

[Michael Alessandra]

Just curious if anyone knew? Since PJ was part of this project and the commercial will play in the previews before the hobbit. Anyone know/work on this project? Be fun to hear...

Yes. It was shot on Epic. Couple of bodies one of them was mine.

Lachlan Milne was the DP. He is a very talented Australian based cameraman.

Cheers,

Ben

Also available to watch in 3D which points to it being shot on the same rigs. Maybe 48fps?

[Michael Alessandra]

Hey Ruff, thanks for the info! Hopefully one day I'll see your beautiful country. And yeah I saw that there was the 3D option...wonder if it was shot in 48 fps.

[Ruff]

I was not on set. But a friend who assisted on it told me it was shot 2d 24fps.

Dozens of Epics and a dozen or so 3ality Technica TS5 3D rigs

[Ruff]

Hello all,
By chance i stumbled across this thread but yes the NZ Tourism commercial was shot on Epic in 5k WS. We shot single camera coverage but always carried at least two bodies. It was a fantastic shoot, great crews and amazing locations. Great catching up with you too Ruff - love your house too!
