  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

That being said... They also wouldn't be RED if they weren't the most innovative, affordible, and badass camera manufacturer in the world.

Don't mean to be mean Keith. But ever heard of paragraphs? It makes it a hell of a lot easier to read. And keeping it short and sweet is always a plus. Feel free to ignore me - just saying...

You don't want them to arrive at the same time, you want to be very comfortable shooting with your new camera before the big day comes. You'll be under a lot of pressure!

I'd say don't start trying till your Scarlet ships.

Let's put this in perspective...

Red Scarlet is only a "cheap" cinema Camera... It is NOT a Red One or Epic!
Would you invite Jim or Jared to cut the cord?

My 2 cents... Buy a Panasonic TM700 and film in 1080p 60p, an iPhone or anything you can get your hands on or rent a Red MX, as you shouldn't care what you film with as long as the kid is healthy, God willing...

I was there for both of my children's births, and I can't forget either, photos immediately post-delivery does the trick for me, but to each his own ...

I think you have to hurry up to make that happen. Maby you can get the stork to deliver the scarlet aswell=)

Hi Guys and Girls (Although mainly guys by the Real names).

Long time lurker, first time poster. I've caught the Red Fever... but have no money so it really doesn't matter when Scarlet comes out for me.... for now. Still cheching this site three times a day for the Footage... but will wait.

Funny if the wife was going into labour and you just got your camera.

"Sorry hun, just need to figure out the touch screen focus, and how far I can push low light settings at 120fps.... don't push yet. "MY WATER JUST BROKE" ... "Thats nice sweatheart, please don't put any water near my precious, Gone shooting pet, see you later". (Not a real conversation BTW).

Great Job Jim and Co. Between these Scarlets and the New GPU processing coming out in CS5 I'm freaking out at the potential... Now we need SATA 3 or SSD drives to roll out. Real time editing 2k footage. I'm a little excited.

Oh Boy!! I love how seriously you take things here!!! I didn't want to start a big issue here...but really want to shoot on Red, using my crew not me :) ... but has to be RED... be cause i am really thankful to red and for sure his education and needs will be paid from funds i get and save by shooting on red... not to mention that the world is much cleaner and not polluted without film processing... My generation birth's were shot on a 8mm who want's to be a part of it?
