  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

+1 Monitor Adaptor

Here's a photo of the module for those wanting an idea of the layout. The power tap is a small lemo connection... very appreciated. This will be an exceptionally handy module. Sorry for the shitty quality; it was under glass at a weird angle and the only camera I had on me was my iPhone.

Guys I am at NAB - they are completey different module adapters and would be
Probably stupid expensive and a PIA to upgrade. The quad module X package was
part of X and not changeable . Jarred added a smile but this shit annoys him
Stop pushing a very generous company. THERE IS A SIMPLE SOLUTION
sell the old one and buy the new one. :)
 
Thanks Tim i just needed to make double sure before i ordered one. This is a must have item.
 
I agree with Tim. RED is extremely generous about this stuff, so let's pick our battles. This new module adaptor is awesome. Let's keep in mind they created it because of user feedback. They shouldn't in turn be criticized for upgrading it without an upgrade.

I will put the old one with my CF Card reader and many other things I don't use any more. ;-)

Plus +1/ It P----s me off to see how greedy and ungrateful some people are here sometimes. It really does. And I am no knee-jerk fanboy of anything or anyone. I am brutally honest and not out to win any popularity contests as any of you who read my posts know. But Red treats their customers with old-school gentlemen's respect in a way that I thought no longer even existed in my time. That respect should be mutual.
 
If you just bought one and don't want the simple one anymore: just put up your old adapters for sale. And do it cheap!
I would guess there are a couple of people - especially scarlet owners - who would like to have one at a super small price.

You don't have to let the dust settle on these and get at least some of the money back which isn't the worst thing in the world. hehe

If you were one of the lucky ones to get it with an EPIC X stage: shut up ! ;)
These stages were so damn generous I don't even know where to start! Look at what an EPIC X costs now, and rethink the comments ;)
 
Oh BTW, can I please upgrade my 64GB cards ? I heard they have 512 ones coming out! :D hehehe!

This may be a bizarre question... can two +1 Adapters be used together? For example, if I removed the Side SSD Module and installed a Rear SSD Module, could I use 2 +1's to use LCD and EVF at the same time? Also, is it possible to have and EVF and 2 LCD's working such as with the Side SSD Module LCD/EVF out, +1 Adapter LCD/EVF out, and Pro IO LCD/EVF out? Thanks for answering all the questions.

You do understand that we are not talking about gear that has been delivered? All these items have been backordered for months.

I just don't understand why Red wants to send its customers gear that they don't want or need, especially when nobody is asking for their money back. But that's just me.
 
I ordered a Scarlet back in November, then when they released Epic-X in December, I ordered that instead, and my bomb squad rep cancelled my BACKORDERED Scarlet order at my request.

Why wouldn't it be the same here? I don't understand why it wouldn't be. Shouldn't you be able to just cancel your order for anything you don't want that hasn't been delivered yet?
