  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

+1 Module shipping next week

I haven't played with one yet ... but I am thinking the same thing ... +1 Module or Meizler ALL THE TIME.

Dual EVF never occurred to me though. Do your ACs appreciate that?

+1 Module permanently attached, for sure. Meizler looks too much... expensive, heavy, big, complex... Pro I/O shuld be the half-way alternative.

I keep mine on as a permanent accessory. Insanely useful, plus when you're not using it, you don't even notice it's there. The only other "permanent" accessories I leave on my epic in this way is the top plate and innocinema bottom plate/audio adapter.

Totally agree... ;)

I'm considering a bit if I should get this one or if I should get the Pro IO module. Even though I often have a second recorder I find myself in situations where it's just me filming a waterfall or something else, and then I miss not having decent sound on the camera.

A bit concerned about the Pro IO adding too much bulk to the camera and it's a bit pricy as well.
Thoughts?

For me the PRO I/O is a necessity of a different kind, and I would never have sold it if I knew that the Meizler was going to be delayed, but good thing for the +1 Module which now offers the very best lightweight set up.

But if you get in to production, you'll need the PRO I/O there is no way around, well, actually there is, the Meizler module... ;)

You really need to see what each has to offer and how many times you'll need what each has to offer depending on the type of work you do, that is how I made my decision, and for now since we are in pre-production, and the other work I do here and there does not currently require the PRO I/O I'm very happy with the +1 Module, which indeed brings a good and simple solution to what was otherwise a need that only the PRO I/O was filling in, yet adding size, weight and cost, which when only used for the simple double output to attach the EVF and LCD Touch was a waist. .

ours received today from customs clearance alongwith bomb oled evf....

cheers..

How does the Meizler work with sound by the way. I see it can recieve wireless and also it seems like it has some audio inputs, correct?

Cheers
