  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

1,000 - ?????

Hi planet e,

I'm looking forward to seeing some awesome nature shots from you... how's about your water project? BTW what's your choice of lenses?

Best regards,

Friedrich

Harsh - but it felt kind good, haha.

Just as a rule of thumb, whatever the delivery batch is for a month, plan on the first half of that batch being processed the first two weeks of the month and the second half of the batch the remainder of the month.

Hey Brent,

Reading Jon's post, if we avoid certain accessories, like the production pack, side handles, etc. that have had casting issues, and prepay for everything in advance, would that speed delivery up?

M

Just wrapping up the blast and you should have it soon. Then we sleep as few hours and start all over again :)

Avoiding certain accessories won't change delivery timelines. What is available will ship once payment has been processed.

Please Brent - can you post when you have blasted the emails. I know it's late there and all but I'm just giddy with excitement it it's only about an email - not like I'm actually at unboxing stage or anything!!

I'm sick of hitting refresh on my email and I'm getting so impatient I'm actually posting on that stupid puppy throwing thread!

thanks, friedrich. i'm looking forward to seeing some awesome nature shots from me, too! the water project is somewhat sidelined because i have shoots in france, india, and possibly bhutan lined up. i have the 18-50mm on order, and 2 angeniuex lenses (but these 2 are pretty bulky for shooting nature...)...mostly, i'm looking forward to testing out the macro feature of the 18mm-50mm--have not seen any footage of classic macro nature shots with the macro feature, and bug season will be upon us shortly here. 4K macrocosmos will be amazing!

for wildlife, i'm hoping to use a birger mount because i have tons of fast canon long lenses at the telephoto end and the 100 mm. macro....i also have some nikon glass. so a little more development has to unfold before i can fully realize my lens selection. i'm hoping that by the time all of my testing, etc. is done with the lenses i have, there will be more flexible options. i don't want to over-purchase accessories this close to NAB....

and you?

the 300mm RED looks nice and sharp, but it's a lot heavier than some of the comparable canon lenses, so i'm a little torn about adding it. i'll have to figure it out soon, because i'm sure that magic e-mail that is giving me insomnia is just twirling around in toronto or perth or johannesburg or something....right, RED?

OK, thanks guys. I guess Brent fell asleep on his computer. The man needs to get some sleep! No worries, I'm sure we'll get it today.
