Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
I have the EPIC MX "X" Model. The firmware is 6.3.106 and I am using the 128GB Mini Mag "grey".
I thought it might have been my lav mic's so I plugged in a phantom powered shotgun mic and the same thing happened.
The signal cuts out every other second from the xlr inputs and this strange glitch like a xerox machine is happening. When I hit record I get an “audio buffer overflow” warning.
I want this to be user error, the module seems to be in great shape.
Your best bet is to find a battery plate mount made by anton bauer directly and use the wooden camera quickback mount to attach it. Thats what i do for my EPIC and i get all the information on the LCD that you are asking about. The whole battery set up cost me under $300
This track is currently viral across social media and its message hit home for me (no pun), so I took old footage and footage I shot on my epic (my lip syncing plates) and made this.
Epic was 5K FF 3:1 ISO 1600 24fps 180 Degree Shutter
I agree with you here. I revisited the Red One MX system last year and realized for the amount i was(n't) using it, I could not justify the high cost and weight of the camera and after one experiment camera inbetween, I reinvested in an EPIC MX and couldnt be happier. The OG Epic MX rules!

I bought a Red DSMC Motion Mount EF for my EPIC MX and for whatever reason, I'm not able to get it working with my camera and I have a question...
Upon reading the manual for the mount, it says when the mount is in use the blue glass in the back turns yellow.. my mount is not doing this, its...
Just installed a Motion Mount EF to my epic, the camera updated the mounts firmware and I then did a reboot. Once the camera turned on, the camera just keeps the White Balance blue... 5600k is blue.... am I doing something wrong or missing something about the motion mount? why are my colors not...
I'm guessing the batteries cells are dead but I figured id ask anyway....
Bought a REDVOLT XL and the XL Module for my EPIC MX. The Module is brand new (never used) and is being read by the camera and gives me the red/green ok light up when the camera turns on via DC in or I plug the DC cable...
