REDVOLT XL (DSMC1 XL MODULE) Not Charging?

I'm guessing the batteries cells are dead but I figured id ask anyway....

Bought a REDVOLT XL and the XL Module for my EPIC MX. The Module is brand new (never used) and is being read by the camera and gives me the red/green ok light up when the camera turns on via DC in or I plug the DC cable into the charge port, but when I put the XL battery I bought into the module, nothing happens... no indicator that its charging, nothing... am I safe to assume the battery is dead or are the cells just frozen from not being used for awhile and there is a way to jump start the battery back on so it charges again?

nvm - bought a gold mount for my epic to use my gold mount batteries. better off doing that anyway.

Yea man thats the price you pay with RED batteries.
I have a ton of REDVOLTs I purchased used and bricked less than a year later.
