Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
I'd prepared a longer response, but I feel physically ill after watching that video sitting 1.5 picture heights from my 65" QD-OLED. All of the footage is of extremely poor quality, much of which looks out of focus. The number of Ks alone has got little to do with perceived sharpness.
I never was able to figure out what the problem was, so I've begun grading in PQ and delivering in Dolby Vision Profile 8.4. which shows up as HLG on platforms like YT that don't support DV.
Nitpicking, but the LG C4 does not cover 97% of P3. If it did, there would not have been a need for QD-OLED.^^ The LG covers around 67% of P3 color volume. It’s frustrating that reviewers continue to rely on the outdated, obsolete 2D CIE chromaticity diagrams.
I should add that the number of pixels has little to do with the amount of detail the camera can reproduce, that the OG Ursa 12K performed rather poorly in this regard, and that the RED Raptor and Sony Venice 2 fared much better...

Thanks Rand, I just tried that. No luck. I've tried RCM, node-based, you name it! These were my most recent settings on the color management page. I used a CST from REDCINE X, REDWideGamutRGB/Log3G10 to Rec.2020 HLG HDR for the node-based color mgmt one. :(
I’ve been mastering Rec.2020 ST2084 of Red Komodo footage in Resolve on my Mac for years but can’t seem to get HLG HDR to work. My exports are a lot brighter than what’s seen in Resolve’s viewer. I’ve tried both RCM and REDCINE X CST LUTs to no avail. Help please!

I’m guessing that the Sony Bravia A95L TV that can be bought with ASBL disabled that was shown at NAB that Nate McFarlin was referring to in the webinar is the commercial version that retails for thousands of dollars more than the already prohibitively priced consumer version.
When looking at the noise spectrum of most cameras, the graph usually rolls off gradually until .5, the result of demosaicing. My understanding is that in-camera denoising causes it to fall even further. Is the fact that at high frequencies, RED cameras aren’t rolling off a sign of in-camera...
