My Premiere pro on iMac pro doesn't want to play smoothly RED footage anymore, even if I put files on desktop SSD. Even if I choose 1/8 of the quality it doesn't play any more. It is mega choppy playback. I don't know what happened, before it was playing smooth 5K on full resolution in Premiere.

Is it normal that export time for RED footage with Metal is slower than with Open CL? Exporting 1min RED 5K to UHD Prores HQ takes 9:45 on Metal and 2:48 on Open CL.

What frame rate, capture format and compression is the best combination to get the the best picture and slowest motion? At the end we need 1080p video. The best option would be to shoot at 5K, but 100fps is not enough. At 2K HD picture looks bad.
