Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
I don't have much experience with filters apart from the usual ND's and ProMist.
Are there filters that give you something ... interesting? Flare wise?
For example, one thing I've enjoyed was a UV filter with a deep scratch.
So what about all the Glimmer stuff? Except the corny star filters...
My portrait photo session with german actor Alexander Beyer.
Nikon 58mm 1:1.2 Noct., 28mm 1:1.4, 14-24mm 1:2.8
No Autofocus, no NDs, no tripod, available light.
Dragon with old (old??) OLPF.
3 hours start to finish.
TIFF-export from RCX. Grading in Lightroom and Silver Efex...
For still shooting:
Is there a way to rotate the clips in RedCineX? Will there be?
I am getting cramps leaning my head on the left of right shoulder when I shot portraits with my Dragon.
And / or I am afraid my (rotated) MBP will fall off the table.

Anybody here having trouble with missing audio in rendered files? I´m pulling my hair out.
Audio plays fine within Reslove 10 (latest beta), also on the deliver-page.
Rendering out r3d and Nikon D800 clips as separate files to ProRes 422.
A few have audio, most not.
Help!
Jochen
I found the "Create custom Lens Calibration" quite glitchy.
First there were NO Nikon lenses that seem to be able to fit (because of the incomplete implementaion of the lens command protocol).
Other (electronic) lenses did not even get the "unknown lens" alert.
I've tried some fairly common...
My MOVI 10 arrived today and is available for rent.
Solo or in a package with the Red Rock Micro Follow Focus.
And/or an EPIC with a RED primes set.
Or a stellar Nikon set (1.4)
With or without an excellent operator (not me though....)
Jochen
Since I have a really low order number, I may be able to shoot with it in August.
Hooray!
Should be able to rent it out past September 8th.

Hi guys,
while my RedRocket functions fine in the Sonnet Echo Pro enclosure with my MBP, it does not work on a clients MBP.
First he gets an alert about Rocket#0 being in a 4 pci-ex lane slot - and RR requires an 8 lane.
Then the RR simply wont work.
He's on a MBP 2.6GHz Intel Core i7 with 8gb...

Hi all,
I know how to protect the delicate back of the EPIC body with the Back pack system.
But how do you protect the rear of the battery module?
Best
Jochen
Just today found the time to throw on Jacek's Nikon mount and the Bokehmonster, Nikon's 135mm f2 DC.
The Epic on a carton - too lazy to get sticks. Turned it onto the next pot of flowers:

Man, I'm happy.

Is ist just me who finds the Epic's audio meter characteristics very unusual?
The noise floor meters quite hight and the peaks are very sudden and ... ahm.... peaky.
Not like any audio meter I have (and I have lots of them).
I'm not talking about sound quality, just the visual of the meters...
