Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
I shot this recently at a local cars and coffee event. I used it as an excuse to strip down the rig to make it as light as possible and test the longevity of the 3 Redvolt batteries that survived (I had 3 others that died from not being used enough).
Shot on EPIC MX + DZO Vespid 21mm
EDIT...
At work, I film on a Canon C200, and no matter how I manipulate the colors, I still never feel like it can rival the color science on my personal Epic MX. I just love the images that come out of that thing, especially with lots of light (even though I stuck a XEEN in front of it :P ).
I suppose I should have known better, but things really didn't work in my favor on this shoot.
I went and scouted an empty rooftop parking lot location about a week or so ahead of time, but never considered permits.
On the day of the shoot, I hadn't finished setting up the camera before a...
I found it interesting that early on, there was so much confusion about a virus as to scare people away from a beer that happens to have the same name, so I created this fake 15-second ad.
This was a fantastic way for me to slow down and light a single scene, and I had all the time I needed to...
I was inspired by a DP friend of mine who did a fantastic spec ad for Armani perfume. I can't tell if it's because I'm sick of looking at this already, or if it's because it's really just not that great, but as I published it last night, I couldn't help but feel that I've done better work in the...
Short and sweet. I just needed to film something again. My poor Epic MX had been sitting in the closet collecting dust. Shot with Canon L glass (16-35mm f2.8).
Hi everyone,
I hadn't used my REDmote in some time, so the battery was completely flat, but now when I plug it in (into a USB port on my Windows 7 PC - which can't even see the REDmote plugged in - , directly into a power outlet, or attached to the camera), it loads up only the RED logo, but...
I just finished working on my reel and building the website for it (www.rajibarbir.com). There's so much talent here, I would really appreciate some feedback on where I need to improve.
Everything was shot on a RED Epic MX with Canon L glass.

I found out in early November of 2017 that Alan Walker, a major EDM producer (made famous by his massively successful song, Faded), released the copyrights to one of his newer songs, called The Spectre. I kinda couldn't believe it, and checked around to make sure I'd understood his decision...
Filmed this on my RED Epic MX last year while visiting Portland from Salt Lake City. I was still relatively new to the RED workflow at the time, so it proved to be quite the learning experience in a number of ways.
I'm kinda curious how common these are, and if not, why not. They're about the same amount of work as my old still photo shoots used to take, although maybe that's because I'm shooting with a pretty photojournalistic approach (read: no lights or extras or permits or crew etc). I was lucky to...
Shot on my Epic MX, mostly on the Clutch, occasionally on sticks. Lights were basically a bunch of work lights I've accumulated from Home Depot with some gels and the occasional cinefoil modification. Filmed in and around Salt Lake City over the course of a single day. All the pre- and...
