    No approval for Marketplace?

I have had a post waiting for approval for over a week. I am posting this at 4 Nov 10:42 GMT. I know it will take a while to be seen if I seen at all. One other post disappeared! I have been an active positive member since pretty much the beginning (2 early numbers Red 1). Feels like I should...

No sorry I sold it (and a little bit cheaper) but the guy that bought it doesn’t use it much. I will reach out to him.

    OLPF Question

If you put ARRI signatures on there is heavy vignettes/restriction. Some lenses with exit pupils close the film plane will be fine but I woundn’t risk it for 8k,7k and 6.5k without extensive testing

All high end digital cinema cameras have smart LPL mounts but Red! Post Nikon why is this still the case?

Yes, of course, all the lenses work well on a dumb mount... However, lens data is increasing and for a 'smart' forward-looking camera company to not play ball? Also, if you take me for example, I have all my camera (inc Phantom) set up LPL with adapters to PL. Without a smart LPL, i don't...

All high end digital cinema cameras have smart LPL mounts but Red! Post Nikon why is this still the case?

Now Nikon are in charge. Worth asking this again? All digital cinema cameras have smart LPL mounts but 1! Why is this still the case? Arri, Sony, Blackmagic all have smart LPL options for the LF top tier cinema offerings. I have checked with both Arri and Cooke and Red can do this with no...

Monstro - Why So Many Low Hour Cameras?

Ours has 1000s of hours and still going strong… amazing camera fantastic picture If your sales talking from private individuals I suspect it is simply the cameras that where acquired for projects that, for what ever the reason, didn’t get made. They won’t be DoP’s cameras. Red was traditional very

Get Your Hands on the RED V-RAPTOR [X] and KOMODO-X at BSC EXPO 2025

How ‘ground breaking’ is it for a camera made by a Nikon company to have a nikon mount? Nice … yes! Groundbreaking? Surely it was more groundbreaking for a nikon camera to have a canon mount.? Ps How about a LPL mount a with data… and all the functionality I had with my Monstro …? and if you...

Have you ever seen this blue noise?

if you rushed a calibration there is a chance it was done at the wrong temp... (I have made this mistake).. then when the camera starts rolling the temp becomes the correct for set temp but now the calibration is wrong. I saw this with a Epic X I think

    Social Extraction from 8K Monstro

Not many people want a a square and 17:9 When I have done this on monstro I just shoot max size Square format and create guides that look like a crucifix (nearly comon top).. this is assuming they want a 9:16 and 16:9 from the same footage... it makes me feel very dirty but it saves time...

    FS ZAXCOM 1 x QRX 200 and 2 x TRXLA2.6 (UK based)

Hi there I have in London N4 for sale some very little used (with boxes) Zaxcom gear. It was bought from Roger Patel at Everything Audio. I am not a sound guy and when it has been used it has been mainly in my studio. Would prefer a UK sale were the buyer can come to check it out... but of...

    ARRI Ensō Prime Lenses

I had a quick play with them... Re telecentric: the ones I picked up and examined how far away the exit pupil seemed to tend towards plane side telecentric. What I did note They seem to match each other very well. Breathing was very well-controlled They are smooth and clean in look Great...

Would you buy a Monstro now?

it has a very very different sensor ... smoother, better colour, doesn't have really horrible smear, more DR also doens't over heat!
