Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
Hi all...
Tired of looping Jim J's race car shot end to end on your FCP timeline? Want to actually CUT something together to test workflow with CineForm and Premiere?
Here you go! Hosted again by Chris Lyon's RedRelay service...

Hi all...
Here's what I did:
Slow pan on a chart with a tall thin line, slow enough to be used as a reference. 2nd pan with a random amount of fast panning back and forth. Everything shot at 1/2000 shutter to remove all traces of motion blur from the images.
You will need to look at two...
Hi all... remember this question I had?
http://www.reduser.net/forum/showpost.php?p=117182&postcount=185
Well, thanks to Jon Firestone and Chris Bagley and RED #232 we had a chance to test the whole question about noise in the blue channel as it relates to the color temperature of the...
Hi all...
Thanks to new RED owners Jon Firestone and Chris Bagley, a number of folks had the chance to do some tests, examine, and get to play with RED #232 this Monday.
Hosted by Mark Grove, the event was attended by Jeff Deel, Dave Main, Jason Coviello, Crystal Burback and myself. A very...
Trying to sell a client in January on using the RED; the scenero is a limo/red carpet arrival scene with lots of flash photography strobes going off.
Question... is there any sort of easy/cheap way to sync up the dozen or so still cameras flash units to the RED to avoid the half-frame issue...
Thanks to all for the wonderful footage coming in... and I'm sure with an additional 50 cameras out there in the world even more stuff will come our way.
My question, is there any still image format that truly gives EVERYTHING in terms of adjustment and processing latitude that the original...
Any reason the focus/iris control would be an issue if someone was interested in getting these Sigmas (in Canon mount) for their Birger?

Evin, I've now spent more time on your shot than you did...
Anyway, here's a quick track test just to kick the tires and see how things work. I'm very keen to know how RED handles in these situations, so was anxious to DO something and the garage footage was there, so...
I was thinking about the potential of Redcode Raw scaled, and I am excited about the possibility, but confused as to how it could be done... when we were told that it was "impossible", that seemed right on first inspection... and yet now, well, I can guess two possible methods from a layperson's...
Hi all... with all the talk of rolling shutters and global shutters and various shutter signatures, I thought it would be informative to open a thread and tap into the brain trust here to help define what makes the "look" of a paticular shutter.
Since one of the goals of digital cinema is the...
Hi all... pretty off-topic except that this would be MUCH better achieved on the RED, as opposed to the detail-starved HVX...
How'd I do this effect?

Background: this is a PROOF OF CONCEPT test for a client that wants a...
One of the most surprisingly useful things about the HDV and HVX for me was the ability to pump a finished show back to tape or P2 for playback. Why? Often clients only want one flagship HD viewing of their program in a controlled environment, the rest of the time they're handing out SD DVD's...
