Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
I'm looking at getting a new MBP with pretty much max performance upgrades, but I'm not sure if this upgrade will be worth it and wondering if anyone here has some insight.

I'm close to pulling the trigger on a new PC but I'm kind of a noob when it comes to PCs so I wanted to check if these specs are okay or if there are better alternatives for certain items.
I primarily use Premiere, After Effects and Resolve. I'll be editing a range of stuff, sometimes Alexa...
So I was originally looking at getting an iMac Pro but the build I was looking at getting was going to cost me close to 10K. And I felt really dirty spending that much money on an Apple product when I can get a comparable (or better) PC for half the price. I noticed a bunch of people...
I'm trying to create some custom presets that I can switch between quickly with some custom keys on my side handle, for example I want to be able to switch between shooting 48 FPS and 24 fps quickly, without having to change my frame rate, sensor size, shutter speed etc. every time on the touch...
So I filmed something on a card without formatting it fresh....it had some shots on it from a few days earlier, that I hadn't double backed-up so I figured I would just leave them on the card while I shot some new stuff......I didn't think that would matter.
When I went to dump the card on my...
I was filming a documentary and recording for long periods of time, and the camera was getting quite hot, and eventually I got the "Audio Buffer Overflow" error message and it shut down. I tried removing the microphone, doing a secure format of the SSD, I tried different SSDs, I updated the...

So I'm getting ready to buy a new iMac, and I'm trying to decide if I should get the 256gb Flash storage or 1 TB Fusion Drive.....If I get the Flash storage I will have to work with a lot of external drives since 256GB is barely any space....This may be a dumb question but I'm wondering will...
I'm working on a show that was shot over a year ago, and it's finally being finished. Everything was transcoded a long time ago to 1/4 debayer for editing offline, and now that the online editing is being done, we've discovered that a couple of the R3D files are missing (it appears the footage...
So I'm editing a low budget feature right now and our plan is to transcode the R3Ds to ProRes files for editing in Final Cut before relinking them and color-correcting in DaVinci Resolve.......and from what I've read you're not supposed to rename any files at all in order to relink them with an...
I've recently been hired as editor for a low budget feature film and I'm trying to decide what kind of storage we'll need. We're shooting on the Epic, and I'm predicting we will probably need around 10 TB for the R3D files & the ProRes proxies that I'll be editing in.
I know everyone uses RAID...
I'm directing and doing visual effects on a music video and basically the premise is that the performer is going to be like a giant or godzilla, walking around in the city. And what I'm hoping to do is shoot all of the plates first, and then in front of a green screen, match up the...
