saw this flick at the berlinale.

it is a must see movie...

if you want to see
1.hardest women on earth face
2. the best -put the balls on the table against a police officer- scene ever and
3. simply the most amazing 17 year old teenage performance of the last decade

at Q&A the director had only praise for the RED.

Awesome, although wasn't able to attend this year even as it's back in my home town.

"Winter's Bone" was the first of only several I was able to catch at Sundance this year and easily the best. The digital projection was dated so it was difficult to really judge the finer points of the cinematography, but the filmmakers really knew how to capture the gritty, almost nightmarish, atmosphere of the deep Ozark backcountry. This is film is all about character and the acting is amazing. The actors really disappear in their roles. The standouts are John Hawkes and the actress that plays the very hardcore distant aunt with the chainsaw.

I don't know if there has been another thread on this, but all the reviews are sensational.

I saw this yesterday and was very pleased with the look of the film. The story, acting, cinematography is excellent and I recommend this movie to all.

I am curious though. Does anyone know which lenses were used in this film? Some long range zoom lens but I don't know which ones....

She is actually 20 but the performance was phenomenal nonetheless.

Great film - saw it without realising it was shot on Red, and didn't pick it out as "not film" either :)

An amazing movie. Did not know it was shot on RED. Awesome. Saul from Deadwood's performance was my favorite.

Complete RED camera kit and lenses rented from Abel Cine Tech here in NY.
