  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Ted with a SCARLET Prototype/MINI Prime Lens at CES...

CES is Consumer Electronic Show so it makes much more sense for RED to focus on the low budget scarlet(s) at this very moment even tho epic X (and tatoos) are coming first (after R1 MX).

CES is a good oportunity to let the large consuming crowd know some cool and cheap RAW cameras are coming (pretty) soon from RED... epics will get the focus on feb RED day and NAB I guess

Wow, that looks sweet. I'm sort of wondering about the focus throw on the mini primes . . . Good thing it's a 2/3" sensor! This will clearly be the final evolution in the perfect skate video camera. Also can't wait to use some long broadcast zooms in this.

Thanks Joseph for getting the word out :-) and for all the good comments here. for those that haven't caught one of my last showings of the Scarlet at CES, check out the Engadet site, there is some pretty fun totally improtu interview stuff with them when I just showed up and knocked on the press trailer with the proto Scarlet in my backpack... a bit of pandemonium when the Engadget squad got their hands on it and didn't want to give it back :-)

Alan put the link up earlier, but here it is again if you missed it.

Engadget video- That was great. A picture says a thousand words. And it's only a prototype. Any future Scarlet questions will be prefaced with "Well Ted said..." Again that was great!

Ted, you seemed genuinely concerned for the welfare of that prototype. You needed to lay down the law on those clowns. :biggrin5:
