  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

My question as well. Previously Jarred said production units in Feb, so that's when we should plan on them?

Heh heh - I'm looking into maybe going to LA this February for the RED day Jim just announced - so I can meet all of you and you can see what a harmless beast I really am ;-)

Yes! I'd love to see a few more like a 40 or 42mm, 65 or 70, 135 and 200. A 65 and 135 would be my most desired two. Of course, I would also love a 10mm at T2.4 or better. The underwater crowd would be all over that. A 14 and maybe a 12 would be great too, but with the Duclos Tokina 11-16 performing so well, I don't know if I could justify them with all the other gear out there I'd like to buy.

Oh, could that 65mm have macro ability too? I can always wish, right?

a set of 6 fast primes from 18 to 100, all very worthy competitors to S4's for $22,800? quite stunning.. quite stunning.

Add a 135 and the world is complete :-)

Can't wait for February. I'd love to see a 135 and 180 as well shortly down the road, especially if the 135 could pull off a T1.8. With such a complete set, I think many DP's would reach for these instead.

Are there any stills of the lens shooting a test grid, so we can see the amount of distortion?
 
Jarred, I hear a lot of requests for other lenses. Is Red seriously considering any new RPPs?

Can't wait for my 18mm, I new there was an extra hole in my case for something.

It was stated a long while ago, not sure when exactly, that 14mm, 65mm, 135 and two macros were in the plans....I think when the original announcement was made.

A month or two before that, he also mentioned a 120mm and a 140mm, coming 4-6 months after the original set --don't know if those are still on.
