I understand the idea behind the early adopters being first in line for new and backordered products, but I recently ordered my first camera package that included a Pro LCD as the only viewing mechanism. I am now at the back of the line for backorder fulfillment and my new camera is unusable until I get the LCD.
It seems to me that Red should get new customers up and running first, then the early adopters next, and the recent buyers at the tail end. It doesn't effect me right now as I am busy on a project and also waiting on a Birger mount, but I think it could be an initial negative experience for some. (No idea how often it happens BTW).
